Booking in a power tool for repair will require a deposit of £20. This is a diagnostics charge and covers the engineers time for assessing your repair and will be deducted from the total cost of your repair. Once your repair has been assessed we will give you a quote for the work that needs to be done before we carry it out.
We are an Authorised Stihl Dealer and Repair Centre. Our dedicated engineer is highly qualified with many years of experience within the industry and we maintain an extremely high standard of work. Generally jobs can be completed quickly with fast turn around times but completion times for jobs vary depending on the problem you are experiencing, some are easier to fix than others and quite often replacement parts will need to be ordered from Stihl to repair your tool.
For warranty repairs on Stihl products that have not been purchased from The Saw Centre there will be a £20 administration fee for the re-registration of your tool.
We will try to do as many electric repairs* in house as we can but some brands insist on dealing with their own tools for repair** and unfortunately this can delay the progress of your job due to transit times between ourselves and the manufacturer.
The main power tool brands that we can deal with:
* Warranty repairs for products that have not been purchased from The Saw Centre may not be applicable for repair by our engineer. If you are unsure please contact us first before bringing in your tools.
** Festool, DeWalt and Makita repairs must be returned to the manufacturer for repair. If you purchased a product from us we are happy to send it for you as part of our after service care.
