Stihl mowing heads for strimmers and brushcutters come in many shapes and sizes for various models. AutoCut mowing lines are automatically extended when the mowing head is tapped on the ground earning itself the nickname bump heads. TrimCut mowing lines are extended manually by hand, either by pulling the line from the outside or removing the spool. PolyCut mowing blades can be replaced quickly without the need for tools. DuroCut mowing line is replaced by manually inserting replacement line pieces into the mowing head.
