Booking in a power tool for repair will require a deposit of £30. This is a diagnostics charge and covers the engineers time for assessing your repair and will be deducted from the total cost of your repair. It may also comprise of delivery charges to and from the manufacturer Once your repair has been assessed we will give you a quote for the work that needs to be done before it is carried it out.
We will try to do as many electric power tool repairs* in house as we can but most brands insist on dealing with their own tools for repair** and unfortunately this can delay the progress of your job due to transit times between ourselves and the manufacturer.
We are happy to assist you with warranty repairs if you have purchased your power tool from The Saw Centre as part of our highly rated after care service. If you bought your power tool elsewhere and you need it repaired under warranty a £20 administration fee will be applicable, otherwise you will need to take it back to the retailer you bought it from.
Simply drop your machine off at our shop trade counter in The Saw Centre and speak to one of our helpful and knowledgeable staff, they will help you get it booked in and we'll take care of the rest for you. If our engineer can look at it they will but the majority of the time your power tool will be sent back to the manufacturer service or repair. We'll give you a quotation for any work that needs to be carried out and you will need to instruct us on how to proceed before any work is undertaken. Once your service or repair is complete we will give you a text or a call to let you know when it's available to collect.

* Warranty repairs for products that have not been purchased from The Saw Centre may not be applicable for repair by our engineer. If you are unsure please contact us first before bringing in your tools.
** Festool, DeWalt, Paslode and Makita repairs must be returned to the manufacturer for repair. If you purchased a product from us we are happy to send it for you as part of our after service care.
